THE CHALLENGE
Pick one file. Answer six questions.
The One-File Challenge is a six-question, founder-led exercise. Your team selects a single approved credit decision. We test six defensibility questions against the bank's own published process and policy. We never request live PII or non-public bank data on the public site.
The six questions
You should be able to answer each of these in minutes. If you cannot, that is the defensibility burden.
- Pick one approved credit decision from the last twelve months.Choose a credit decision your team would be comfortable having reviewed by an examiner, board member, or general counsel.
- Which version of credit policy applied at the moment of decision? Not today's policy. The policy in force on that date. Can you produce it in under five minutes?
- Did the approver have the authority for the exposure, structure, and exception in question?Authority at time of decision, mapped to exposure and exception. Can you prove it?
- If exceptions were granted, where is the recorded rationale and approver evidence? Each exception: rationale, approver, authority, and evidence — on the record.
- Where is the evidence map for the supporting documents that existed at time of decision? Each document's location, version, and reference at the moment of decision.
- Can you replay the audit timeline of approvals, exceptions, and committee review?A reconstructable chronology from intake through final approval.

Ask a question about the challenge
You can ask a single non-PII question about the challenge. We store the question internally for founder review and respond only after the founder approves a response. No automated reply is sent from this form.
Ready to run the diagnostic?
The $30,000 Credit Governance Diagnostic runs the standard against up to 10 selected decisions.
No guarantee. CreditAxis does not guarantee compliance, audit, examiner, or regulator outcomes. CreditAxis does not replace loan origination or core systems. AI is assistive only. The diagnostic produces findings; outcomes depend on bank-specific facts, data quality, and follow-on action.
